Ramban, September 15: Roshani Foundation celebrated the National Nutrition month or ‘Poshan maah’ 2020 on 15th of September 2020 at Anganwadi Center Seri In District Ramban.
The efforts aimed to bring the nutrition discussion to the grassroots level. It also supported in empowering local communities to understand their locally available food resources and the importance of dietary diversity for them, especially their children.
A programme was organized with Anganwadi workers and Asha Workers– the foot soldiers relentlessly working towards creating a healthier India.
The ongoing programmes supported these workers to create an efficient system and bring about maximum benefits to children in the rural areas under the Integrated Child Development Scheme of the government.
Awareness were given by the Supervisor of ICDS Mrs. Santosh Kumari on issues related to nutrition and good health among children and women.
Health and Nutrition Mobilizer Mrs. Neena Sharma aware Participants about nutrious foods, vegetables and fruits.
Moreover, Muddasar Jiral highlighted the topic on the schemes of ICPS and ICDS.
Mrs. Amreena Volunteer of Roshani Foundation chaired the stage secretary in the Program.
Member,Child Welfare Committee Ramban, Mr.Irfan Tantry highlighted the importance of nutrients present in the fruits and vegetables and stressed pregnant women and children to eat healthy and balanced diet in order to over come the problem of malnourished among children.
The women youth Coordinator, Supervisors of ICDS, Health and Nutrition Mobilizer of ICDS Project Ramban, Asha Workers,Panchs, Volunteers of Roshani Foundation were present in the programme.
