Srinagar, Mar 16: Authorities on Wednesday suspended train services on the 137-kilometre Banihal-Baramulla rail line following a gunfight in Nowgam area in the outskirts of Srinagar in which three militants were killed as per police. Quoting sources, news agency GNS reported that the decision to suspend the train service was taken following a communication to railway authorities by the police. Jammu, Mar 15: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday arrested two engineers of Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) for accepting a bribe of Rs 48,000, an official here said. Assistant Executive Engineer, Surinder Kumar, and Assistant Engineer Charanjeet Singh were caught red-handed accepting the Rs 48,000 in bribe, a spokesman of the ACB said. The arrest was made based on a complaint of an electrical contractor.
